Gold and Jadens do different jobs, and knowing which is which saves a lot of wasted effort.
GOLD Earned in the world. It is the everyday currency: repairs, ordinary materials, and player-to-player trade. The Divine Trader is paid for in Gold, so Gold you earn has somewhere useful to go.
JADENS The website currency. It is what the web shop is priced in, and what most website rewards pay out.
WHERE JADENS COME FROM TODAY From the banker, and only from the banker: another player sells you Jadens for Gold, at whatever rate the two of you agree on. Paying money into your account is not set up yet, and the rewards for voting, events and referrals are not switched on yet. Each of those is announced on the News page when it opens.
MOVING BETWEEN THEM The banker lets players trade Gold for Jadens with each other. You post an offer and someone takes it — the server never sets the price, so the rate is whatever players agree between themselves.
WHICH ONE DO I NEED? For the web shop, Jadens. For the Divine Trader, Gold. Gold you earn in the world buys Jadens from other players at the banker, so nothing on this site is closed off to a player who never spends money.
